Helping Churches Successfully Change
Almost every church experiences difficulties with change – both internally and externally. Sometimes we choose to change. At other times it is thrust upon us. Either way change is difficult for individuals and congregations. Sometimes churches become paralyzed by a changing community. At other times efforts to help a church change lead to division in the congregation or opposition to church leaders. How can church staff and leaders successfully manage the change that comes to their congregation? What is involved in helping churches successfully change? This webinar provided an opportunity to explore the challenges of change. Jim Hill, Executive Director of Churchnet, led the webinar which explored:
- The Forces behind Change
- The Normal Stages of Change
- The Difference between Change & Transition
- Understanding Change
- Managing Change:
- Handling Change Internally
- Leading Others through Change
- Pitfalls of Leading Change
- Becoming Change Leaders
