Churchnet is delighted to partner with CBF Heartland to provide this opportunity for those across the Midwest to participate in training on serving as an intentional interim. Your completion of these sessions will provide your certification to serve as an Intentional Interim Pastor. Churchnet has arranged a $250 scholarship for every participant for each course to bring the cost down. The training sessions will be led by the Center for Congregational Health and held in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
Interim Ministry 1 (the work of the interim minister), March 12-14
$300 per person (originally $550)
Interim Ministry 2 (the work of the congregation), May 7-11
$845 per person (originally $1,095)
The sessions will begin at 2:00 p.m. on the first day and conclude just before noon on the last day. The registration fees include: registration, participant notebook, and other educational materials. It also includes lunch on each day other than the first and last day of each session and breaks. There will be no evening sessions.
Both training events will be held at First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit (2 NE Douglas Street, Lee’s Summit MO 64063). We have reserved a block of rooms for those who will need a room at a new Holiday Inn Express near the church (1201 NW Innovation Parkway, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086). You can request a room from the Churchnet block by calling 816-600-2405. Rooms will be held for the first session until February 23rd and available after that date on a space available basis. Rooms for the second session will be available until April 7th and available after that date on a space available basis. The price for the standard king is $109 per night, the double room is available for $119.00 per night.
